The Lemming Effect

Lemmings are creatures that commit (mass) suicide for no reason.
Is it?
The understanding is that their migratory pattern sometimes causes the urge to jump off a cliff. With it being a dead end.

Thus creating the metaphor.

Basically, through 'schema' it is just the idea of falling.

I've slipped and fell like nobody's business in the past two weeks.
I've hit my head on the floor.
I've sprained my ankle this morning. It still hurts.

I have cravings to be at high places.
